Welcome to BoswellSlow down for the many deer and wild turkeys. The highway winds through this quiet community, providing dramatic vistas of towering mountains and sparkling water.

Boswell has been farmed for over 100 years. The early settlers usually came from England or Scotland. There were many homesteads, of which the temperate climate allowed them to make fruit growing the major industry. There were no roads at the time and everything was shipped in by paddle wheeler. With the abundance of fruit and the slow access to the markets the community decided to build a jam factory to process the more perishable fruit, while apples and cherries were shipped to the US and other areas.

Kuskonook Rest Area Boswell has evolved into a quiet retirement community that stretches along the lake. Due to the nearness of the lake, the mild climate and small population, Boswell is a quiet, and welcoming home for those who want peace and tranquility.

Walk the beaches or wander in the woods. Visit the Glass House or go for a kayak. Sit on the beach at Lockhart or  have a coffee and home made cinnamon roll at the Destiny Bay Market. There are several places to launch your boat, like the Kuskanook Harbour, so come and do some fishing.
