Wynndel is a quaint unincorporated village situated within the Creston Valley, in beautiful Southern British Columbia, that offers a rural community feeling while having the benefits of being in close proximity to the town of Creston. Residential homes on oversized lots or acreages rise up from the highway around Duck Creek, and climb the hillside to overlook the CrestonValley, Duck Lake, and Kootenay River. Catch a bass in Duck Lake, or go ice skating on the lake in the winter. Nearby access to the lake at Kuskanook marina allows for canoeing and kayaking.
The rich soil supports a wide variety of agriculture, and the wide open valley is an ideal setting for Wynnwood Cellars Estate Winery.
The community is home to may artists and artisans with studios and galleries that welcome visitors. An active Community Centre offers regular activities and special events, and is the “heart” of Wynndel. The Wynndel Arts Centre is located right behind the centre and features a variety of activities and classes including pottery equipment and kiln. The local convenience store and gas station offers propane, essential camping supplies, liquor store, and extensive sportsman’s supplies.
